Best Foot Forward: Converse CTAS Construct Hi

Converse CTAS Construct Hi
Here is the second pair that I bought as part of Converse's sale in Trinoma. For the other shoe, which is my wife's pair, you can refer in this blog post <HERE>. This is the Converse CTAS Construct Hi.

I really love how the shoe looks. It is a Converse shoe, but the actual design of the model makes you think that it is part of a brand collab, at least in my eye. So ever since they released this model some time ago, I thought of getting a pair for myself when I get a chance. So seeing that this is part of the sale items in Converse Trinoma, it was a no brainer. The canvas upper makes it true to its roots and being a Converse shoe, we all know that the shoe is going to be durable. I can't remember when I last bought a Converse shoe for myself, but I remember it was <this>. The shoe lasted for maybe 3 years and I gave it away because I was not wearing them. So having this new pair, I am pretty sure that this is going to last for a long time. You can see a subtle topographic design on the lateral part of the shoe's upper, with the medial having its usual Converse logo. You can also see a rubber material overlay surrounding the side of the shoe adding another layer of durability and structure. For me, that is also what caught my attention giving me an impression that it look like a brand collab shoe.  There isn't any tech here in the cushion -- at least from what I know of, but the insole is just enough for your usual everyday use. As of today's writing, I have worn the shoe for half a day, and the insole is still comfortable and the foam hasn't bottomed out yet. I know it will bottom out eventually, I just hope not too quickly. The midsole is somewhat thick together with the rubber outsole. Speaking of the outsole, the usual waffle pattern is not present, but they replaced it with a herringbone traction pattern which combined with that thick and durable solid rubber would make it very durable and grippy.

I got it for just Php 2,995 as part of Converse's sale and since we've purchased 2 pairs, an added discount was given which makes it a sweeter deal. I suggest you head at the Converse store in Trinoma to avail this promo which I think will end this week.
