While taking a stroll at GH mall, we found out that Foot Locker is currently having their sale and a lot of these kicks have a good deal in them. My wife bought a pair of New Balance 740 there and I must say that she really got a sweet deal for this show. So for today's Best Foot Forward, this is the New Balance 740. 

It is technically a running shoe having that 90's-early 2000's vibe to it.  Having a open mesh upper for the most part, this makes the shoe breathable and lightweight while still giving you that retro running shoe look. Even the color that she got screams retro running shoe. With the advancements of technology when it comes to performance shoes, a majority would even consider that this is now considered a lifestyle kicks. I agree to some extent, but I think you can still wear this if you just want to do some casual running. The tech that they used can still be considered decent enough to be worn for casual running. The ABZORB midsole provides good amount of responsiveness, and according to her underfoot cushion is okay and I don't think that the foam is brick-like or not giving. With that said, this can also be your daily driver if you want a lightweight shoe because of its materials and a neutral cushion where you get enough impact protection and stability, meaning the cushion isn't too soft or pillowy that prolonged use would make your ankles and joints work harder to keep your feet stable because you are wearing them for a whole day that requires a lot of walking on different surfaces. So pairing this with a rubber outsole that looks durable enough makes it a good shoe daily use. It somewhat reminds me of the New Balance 530, which is also a good shoe for daily casual wear.
