There are a lot of sneaker brands in the market nowadays. Each of them has something good to offer whether be it a good cushioning, modern upper materials, a good pricepoint, or maybe even a combination of these things. Here comes XTEP, a Chinese brand which has been in the market for quite some time and since I am curious on what the brand has to offer, I tried to purchase their basketball kicks online to maybe see where the brand stands in this very competitive space. So today, I will be doing a quick overview on the XTEP Light Attack 3.0 SE.

As I said, I purchased this online particularly at TikTok shop and of course, I did some research on which sellers are legit and whether the service is good since the shoe will come from overseas. This is my first time to buy a shoe from XTEP so I decided to check out their mid-range models since I want to see if this is a good option to those who are looking for a basketball shoe with a limited budget in mind. Let me just say that I was blown away with the price. If case you didn't know yet, TikTok has a knack of always throwing some discount vouchers or even the store itself always having some sort of sale. I got this for just below Php 2,000 -- yes, you read that right. I was able to cop this for only Php 1,977 with a free shipping option. So I suggest to check out some items at the TikTok shop since some of the sale prices of the products there are ridiculously low (I suggest to also do your research first so you won't get scammed as you do any purchase whether online or offline). I bought this at XTEP's official TikTok shop so at least I know that I got a legit product. The shoe arrived after 5 days which I think is okay since I ordered it on a Sunday and they were awesome with providing messages on the where your package is so I would say that their delivery service is great.

Now let's get back to the shoe itself. The shoe is a lowtop build featuring a lightweight mesh upper. Nothing to boast when it comes to the upper really. You get a breathable upper and lightweight with some fuse panels on high-wear areas to offer some durability and for its price, there's nothing really to complain. They added a midfoot strap together with a nylon reinforcement in the laces to help with lockdown. The strap would offer a minimal lockdown (more on just aesthetics perhaps). But the nylon reinforcement in the laces found in the midfoot would offer some additional support especially when you tighten the laces really good. There is also a lateral TPU cage found on the lateral side of the shoe that runs from the forefoot to mid. I think this is very important especially considering the shoe is a lowtop and the cushion is soft. The cushion is made up of a blend of EVA foam which they call FeatherFoam. It is soft and light and sometimes I even feel that it is too soft for me that's why I think that the lateral TPU cage would really help in offering stability. Finally, the outsole features a solid rubber outsole which I think is good enough for both indoor and outdoor courts. For sizing, I suggest you go with your EUR size. I ordered EUR 41 because I just want to make sure that there is minimal dead space inside the shoe considering it is a lowtop and I don't want to get a sloppy fit because the risk of injury is greater when you get a shoe with a sloppy fit because your foot is not contained well inside the shoe.

I am in the process of testing it since I have more time and schedule isn't too hectic anymore.
