#kixspotted XTEP Linsanity 2

XTEP Linsanity 2 available at Tobys Sports
You should know by now that the Chinese shoe brand, XTEP is now in the Philippine shores brought by the giant sport store Toby's. In fact, I've seen them firsthand when they were part of the exhibitors last months SM's "SneakerCon". Around those time, I blogged about the shoe that I saw, the Lingren 1. Today, I am featuring the XTEP Linsanity 2 for our kixspotted.

Sporting a textile upper, there are fuse panels which can be seen on high-wear areas. The shoe feels light and I think would be suitable for those who love playing in lowtops because of its lightweight attribute. The Linsanity 2 is supportive enough, thanks to the lacing reinforcements, Achilles notch on the heel, lateral TPU cage which goes from the forefoot to the heel, and a carbon fiber midfoot shank underneath. Even with these support pieces, I can still say that the shoe is relatively light. For cushioning, they used XTEP's Boom cushion. I think it is placed in the forefoot area because you can see an impression underneath the outsole. The forefoot section has been somewhat carved and there is a small hole where the ETPU-like foam can be seen. So I would assume that they used a combination of EVA foam carrier and the XTEP Boom. The foam carrier is fairly light as well. It gives some feedback and not too mushy. I think it's gonna be a balance of impact protection with some propulsion because of the XTEP Boom. Lastly, they used a solid rubber outsole with a chainlink traction pattern. I am not sure if it will bite well when we are to compare it to a herringbone for example. However, the rubber might be durable for outdoor use because while the rubber is flat, it is kinda thick. The shoe retails for Php 4,595 which you can get at Toby's Sports SM The Block.
