#kixspotted Puma Deviate 2

Puma Deviate 2
For those who are considering running more seriously, then maybe the Puma Deviate 2 might be a good option for you. Whether you want to use these to log your miles as you train for that competition or if you just want something more lightweight and would help your feet and joints in the long run (pun intended). It is made from lightweight textile upper with some fuse overlays for durability which they are calling POWRTAPE. These are placed on strategic points where durability is needed. It is on the minimalist side since these are just thin strips of fuse overlay which you can see throughout the shoe especially if you look closely. The more obvious ones are the Puma branding found on the forefoot, tongue, on the side and on the heel area. The foam used here is Puma's Nitro Elite. I think it is made from a blend of ETPU which offers energy return giving your feet and joints such as your knees and ankles some relief especially during those running sessions. Underneath, they used a carbon fiber material which they call Power Plate as a form of arch support, preventing your foot from over flexing adding stability. A solid rubber was used which they call PumaGrip. From the looks of it, it doesn't look anything special so I don't know what is special about their outsole. The outsole is segmented which means they've cut out some rubber to reduce weight. For retail prince, they are tagged at Php 8,790 which is now available at the Puma store in Trinoma.
