#kixspotted Skechers SKX Float

 

Skechers is making itself known in the basketball sneaker radar once again with these kicks (another model will be featured here soon) that I've spotted at a mall recently. This model is called the SKX Float and this model has been circulating the various sneaker channels lately. Personally, I think that this is great for the whole sneaker industry because competition like this would make other brands continue to strive to be great because they do not want to loose their footing in the basketball sneaker game so to speak. I was able to get some photos of these and according to the branch manager at Skechers Trinoma these are scheduled to drop soon in their store also, but I think one of their flagship stores already have them ready for retail.

For the shoe itself, textile upper with fuse overlays can be seen throughout the shoe and there are different panels like mesh panels on the side as well as on the tongue are also present for breathability. The Skechers logo can be seen on the tongue as well as on the ankle area on the lateral side. You can also see the TPU piece on the mid to heel area which helps contain the foot underneath as well as provide structure and support. For cushioning, it features Hyper Burst on the midsole as well as Hyper Burst Pro in the sockliner (according to website). Upon initial try on, it feels it is gonna be on the responsive side and I don't know if the foam needs some break-in time for it to be more giving for those who want more cushioning. But if not, then I guess this would cater to those who prefers responsiveness over impact protection. Lastly, Goodyear outsole can be seen underneath which takes care of the traction and according to them is also durable so I think this might be ideal for both indoor and courts. There are 4 colorways available for this model and retail price will be Php 8,995 at Skechers Trinoma as well as other Skechers stores and online.
