UA brings back Curry 1s available now in the Philippines
The success of the Curry line from Under Armour is still in full effect even though Steph sort of branched out his signature line now named the Curry Flow. Of course, it is under the Under Armour umbrella which I think is a good partnership for both brands. Combined with his recent success in the NBA Finals where he and the Golden State Warriors were crowned as champions, it is a no-brainer that Under Armour will continue to strike while the iron is still hot so to speak. The Curry 1 have been retroed some months ago and have been available in the States for quite some time now. Now, we are fortunate enough that the Curry 1 reach our shores again to gain more love from the Filipino fans.
The good news is this retro version of the Under Armour Curry 1 still packs the same tech specs as the first version. If you love his first signature shoe, then chances are you are likely to enjoy these as well to the point of you may consider doubling up on these since we really can't tell if these will drop again in the future. The AnaFoam takes care of the upper, offering a nice fit once the foam takes on the foot shape of the wearer. It isn't cumbersome weightwise so while it looks kinda bulky, it doesn't feel like heavy or clunky. Underneath is UA's Charged Foam which takes care of the cushioning department. I had a chance to get a feel how the Charged foam performs when I reviewed a Curry Zero shoe some years ago and it feels okay to me as it offer some responsiveness. The outsole is solid rubber with a multi-directional traction pattern which is durable enough to be used whether indoors or outdoors. There are 2 colorways that I saw at Sports Central in SM North Edsa which retails for Php 8,595 and here are some detailed images that you can check out.
