Nike Unveils the Kyrie 4

With just a few days before the general launch of the Kyrie 4, Nike unveiled the shoe and it looks like it would be an upgrade from last year's model. With the design team spearheaded by Benjamin Nethongkome, he was responsible for the design behind the Kobe Mentality series so you already know that his work would probably pass most our standards. While the overall silhouette will not really knock you off your feet, it has key components that will really stand out and would help you perform better on court. Engineered mesh with leather panels on the ankle/heel area makes sure that enough structural support can be felt. The cushioning setup probably has the most notable upgrade if you will ask me. Just like last year's model, Zoom Air in the heel area was still used here but the full-length cushlon foam carrier would be more forgiving than usual phylon which has been known to be stiff in the past models. Also, the outsole still features that rounded shape that helps promote a better lateral transition together with the aid of the longitudinal flex groove. The shoe is said to release this December 20 for $120 and the shoe really intrigues me and hopefully I will have a chance to cop a pair and do a performance review.
