kixspotted Nike Kyrie Flytrap 2

Today's kixspotted features the Nike Kyrie Flytrap 2 that I saw recently at Planet Sports in Trinoma.

Just like its predecessor, the Flytrap 2 shares a very similar design which I think what Nike intended to do since they want to keep the price low as much as possible. It is made up of a textile upper and I could say that this year it is more aesthetically pleasing compared to last year. Maybe I just think that the logo printed on the lateral side of the upper catches my eye. The midfoot elastic band is still present to keep the midfoot snug as much as possible, although I am pretty sure that the elasticity of that band would wear off over time. The external heel counter is also a nice addition in the support department. For cushioning, same implementation was made with last year which is phylon midsole and forefoot Zoom Air unit (hex-shaped I think), in the ball of the foot. The outsole traction pattern is also changed and depending on the colorway, you will either get a solid rubber outsole or a combination of solid and translucent rubber. These are available now at Planet Sports in Trinoma for Php 4,195.
