adidas Pro Spark 2018

I have to be honest, I am surprised that Cloudfoam is starting to transition to mid-tier models which makes me curious. The first time I saw adidas' Cloudfoam cushion was on the adidas Neo line and it was on some basketball models like the Ilation. But recently, I am starting to see the Cloudfoam getting a significant push in the basketball line replacing the standard EVA foam which is stiffer. Squeezing the foam from the outside feels that this has more give. But sad to say, pressing the foam from the outside doesn't really equate to soft cushioning, not every time. There are other things to consider like placement of a strobel board or if the foam is just a carrier or base foam. But still, seeing this and how adidas push the Cloudfoam into the mid-tier category gets me excited and curious. For this particular model, the Pro Spark 2018 features a textile mesh upper with some stitching on the lateral forefoot area and also medially which adds durability. There is a padded ankle collar area and since this is a midtop shoe, it gives a assurance assurance or comfort to people who are not too fond of lowtop kicks (like me). Cloudfoam cushioning with a solid rubber outsole having a herringbone traction pattern which is always good in proving good court grip. The rubber isn't too thin so this will be good outdoors as well. I've spotted this at Toby's Sport in Trinoma and comes in 2 colorways. Check out the images below and tell me what you think. Personally, I would like to do a performance review on them but I'll have to really think about it. The shoe retails for Php 3,500.
