More info on the Nike KD8

The Nike KD 8 has been circulating on the web for quite some time now. With the unsuccessful recruitment of UA to KD to switch brands, Nike will probably be paying more attention to KD's needs in terms of performance in his hoop shoe. Led by Leo Chang, here is what is store for us on the upcoming KD 8.

The shoe will be featuring their newest tech, Flyweave. This will cater to KD's needs having a lightweight material with enough support and structure where he needs it. Being the type of player that Kevin Durant is, having a low-cut profile in a shoe combined with lightweight materials will help him a lot. An articulated full-length zoom cushion will be implemented. Zoom Air is not new to us as it provides a low to ground feel and responsiveness. Having an articulated cushion setup will make the shoe flex more naturally without losing its springy property. The midsole will run all the way to the heel with some story-telling elements. It resembles to that of a sabretooth fang representing his ferocity.  Just like the Flyweave, the outsole will have a dynamic traction pattern. It looks gritty and would look like it will bite clean courts well.

The shoe will release on July 11 (KD 8 V8) while the limited July 4th colorway drops on June 27. This shoe will also be available via NIKEiD on June 23.
