#kixspotted Curry HOVR Splash

I find it great that the Curry line from Under Armour is expanding and not just only releasing the main signature shoe for Steph Curry. Considering that the Curry brand is still young, their hands are on deck releasing some team models that have a lower price tier but still offers great tech. An example of this is the Curry HOVR Splash. As the name suggest, the HOVR cushioning tech would be highlight here. The HOVR cushion is one of those popular cushion techs from Under Armour that is more popular in their running line. If I am not mistaken, I think the HOVR even reached Under Armour's basketball line with the HOVR Havoc series so we know that it is a great tech. The upper for the HOVR Splash have that minimalist approach as well just like the main Curry line although the main signature line uses a more premium material (knit) in the upper. For this particular model, mesh material was used to make it light. In fact, the shoe really feels light. But do not worry, because the Curry HOVR Splash made sure to add some reinforcements particularly in the lacing system to make sure that your feet is locked in the footbed as evidenced by the yellow lacing pieces found in the eyelets. Also, they made the collar area padded so you can feel secured in case you opt for a snug fit particularly in the ankle area. Underneath is a solid rubber outsole with a somewhat wavy traction pattern that is multi-directional. All in all, I think that the Curry HOVR Splash is a good shoe from the Curry brand in case you want to try out what the Curry line (or Under Armour) has to offer in their basketball performance line without spending a few more thousand pesos (if you are here in the Philippines). You can get them now at Sports Central in SM North Edsa for Php 6,195.
