#kixspotted Converse Renew

I was in Makati yesterday so I decided to check out the mall and that's when I see the converse Renew line. I was surprised because it really looks like a regular Chuck Taylor. The upper material really looks and feels like canvas. The Renew line is made up of recycled plastics turned into canvas thread. The build looks sturdy which I think could stand the test of time just like a regular Chucks would.

The most notable difference would be there are no metallic eyelets, just a punched hole with stitching around it. Speaking of stitching, the iconic Converse patch on the medial side for the hi-top is replaced by a logo stitching as well. This move makes the Renew impression well-executed since they really want to showcase how the shoe was made. Also, the outsole has some specks on it but it still has the same pattern. The whole Converse Renew line will run across the All-Star and All-Star 70 silhouettes both mid and hi-top versions with a text saying "Life's too short to waste" in different design executions. The All-Star retails for Php 3,390 while the All-Star 70 is Php 4,190 and is available at the Converse store in Glorietta.
