kixspotted: Under Armour M-Tag Low

Here is a basketball performance model from Under Armour that I spotted at their store in Trinoma. Scroll down below to view the video as well as some detailed images.

Having a minimal material build, the Under Armour M-Tag Low features a mesh upper which in my opinion makes it straightforward, not hiding any vital tech. There is a synthetic leather on the toebox area adding a sturdier structure in there. The lace loops are integrated in the upper and you can see that it runs across the midfoot on top to maybe keep the shoe from expanding too much providing a somewhat restricted or snug fit. Since the shoe is light and has a minimal build, you will need support pieces to provide support. Speaking of support, the midsole which is just EVA extends a bit upward as it makes its way to the heel to also act as a heel counter. They used a solid rubber outsole with a wave-like traction pattern which somewhat mimics herringbone. The shoe is fairly light so you can use it as a training shoe in my opinion. The only thing that makes the shoe a bit off to me is the retail price of Php 6,195. The materials are obviously nothing to boast about so people might find it too pricey. But the price is only a bit higher than the converted price in USD and Under Armour has been known to cost more when converted into Philippine currency so I guess this is worth noting. You can grab a pair now at the Under Armour store in Trinoma.
