And1 Chosen One II

Reaching 25 years in the sneaker industry is not an easy task. You really have to have a pulse in this market in order to do the right moves. In the early 2000's, And1 were able to get a share of that sneaker market in the NBA as it spearheaded a genre where the players showcase some of their skills from the park that they developed into the hardwood. It's not easy but some of these players became well-known both in the hardwood as well as in the blacktop. Together with their And1 Mixtapes and trash-talking design merch, they were up there (sneaker brands) for sure. Now celebrating 25 years, they are still continuing and striving to be better. And while it seemed like they slipped a step or two, the tide could be heading towards their favor again now that every sneaker brand (new and old) is jumping to the mix once again. They released some silhouettes that receive some "25 years" treatment that carries a color scheme of black with gold hits and an example of this is the And1 Chosen One II. The first Chosen One was worn by Ben Wallace which featured a large midfoot strap and for the second version, the strap is still present (2 straps now) to give the wearer some midfoot containment. It is made up of a combination of mesh and suede-like material on the upper with the mesh material placed on the mid to forefoot area making it light. Full-length injected EVA was used for cushion and it feels thin to give you a lot of court feel. Underneath is a solid rubber outsole (gum sole for the 25th anniversary version) and is thick enough to withstand outdoor use. You can also see the regular version or colorway of the shoe in white and blue down below. It retails for Php 3,095 and is available now at Royal Sporting House stores (the images below, I got them at Royal Sporting House in Ayala Malls 30th).
