It's the second half of the NBA season and the competition will be much tougher from here on, as every teams will do everything to get to a higher position in their conference rankings. And while Nike Basketball Elite series has yet to be revealed, the KD 9 Elite has already reached some stores particularly in Japan. The overall silhouette looks pretty much the same and while some techs are retained, there are some modifications that differentiate this model from the regular KD9. The upper is still made up of Flyknit and this time thicker Flywire strands were used and are now exposed outside. This is the thickest Flywire I've ever seen in Nike and hopefully this will help contain your midfoot. The ankle part uses a thin neoprene-like material and I think as long as the heel counter will secure your ankle area, this wouldn't be a problem. From the midsole down to the outsole, nothing much has changed so you will more or less have the same responsiveness and traction as the KD 9. No official unveiling yet from Nike so we will just have to wait a little longer with regards to availability and pricing.
