These NMDs will be known for to have taken that extra mile. Although we know that the NMD were meant to be worn casually, adidas still revamped some of the materials to make it more durable which could be used more often and not just for casual use. Still having that lightweight material, you can see some fuse panels minimizing stitching but does not sacrifice durability. There is a leather heel panel which just enough to give you support since a Chukka still has a minimal built after all. Finally, a thicker solid rubber outsole makes sure it won't burn too quickly even wearing them longer than most lifestyle kicks in your rotation.
