The Elite version of KD 8 is now available. From the early images up to seeing them in actual still makes me think that will the boot-like profile give a significant performance boost in comparison to the regular KD 8? Starting from the forefoot, there is a material change with an upper that looks like a snake-skin although it is very thick and would give more support in comparison to the regular KD 8. From the midfoot going to the ankle, a mesh type material with ample padding in the ankle area to give you a secured fit. To minimize the feel of being restricted, not padding was placed in the ankles but they provided a TPU-like wing in the sides that would contain your foot and lock them in the heel especially when you tight the laces tightly. The calf material is a bit stretchy and would look cumbersome sliding your foot inside the shoe. It looks like moisture-wicking fabric so that would be a good use although I think it would cater more to elite athletes than average ballers. Going to the cushion, full length articulated Zoom is still present followed by the same pattern and rubber used in the outsole of KD 8. These are now available at Nike Park Trinoma for Php 10,495.
