If you are looking for more casual running kicks to check out before doing your purchase, check out the Adidas Element Refresh. It features a minimalist upper with just mesh upper and some synthetic suede-like panels in the laces, toe guard, and heel notch for structure and not making it look too cheap because of the soft material primarily used in the upper. For cushioning, Adidas used Supercloud which offers a soft but not too mushy ride. It isn't too bouncy also, so you get that normal balance of impact protection which would suit you well for casual running or even quick training in the gym. Women also get to enjoy this as it is also available in women's size with just some slight change in upper material used but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't change the performance aspect drastically.
