Best Foot Forward: Adidas DRose 6 Boost

With the implementation of Boost in almost every shoe line in Adidas, more and more people are starting to check out what this Boost cushion has to offer. Last season, Adidas Basketball were able to implement Boost in the Crazylight Boost as well as in D Rose 5 Boost. With the D Rose 5 making big strides in terms of performance, many are hoping that Adidas will continue to make his 6th signature shoe better, if not keep up with its predecessor. This season, D Rose is having a good game so far, starting to get his bounce and confidence back. And while most of us aren't as talented as DRose, maybe his sixth signature shoe will help us at least gain more confidence as we continue to thrive getting better in our game. On today's Best Foot Forward, I present you the Adidas D Rose 6 Boost. Here is what I found on Adidas website with regards to the shoes' tech specs:
  • boost™'s energy-returning properties keep every step charged with an endless supply of light, fast energy
  • Synthetic leather upper for light weight and durability
  • Asymmetrical collar for ultimate ankle comfort and lockdown
  • Premium D-Rose signature details
  • Midsole cage with an integrated EVA midsole for enhanced stability and support
  • NON MARKING rubber outsole
  • Imported
For some reason, Adidas has been modifying the upper of the Rose's signature shoe for every colorway that they have. Is it good? For the time being, I would say yes, as it give additional options to the consumers as to what material they prefer. This colorway (away) that I purchased is made up of synthetic upper and it is safe to say that this would require some break-in time. How long, I just don't know yet but I hope not too long as I wanted to maximize its potential the soonest time possible. Also in this particular colorway, I would say you go true to size. I'm not sure with the launch colorway (light grey) but to be safe, try them at store. Upon initial wearing, the shoe is not too light when comparing it to the other Adidas shoes that I have. As long as they don't take a toll during long games, I have no complaints on these. I will be playing in these and will be posting a performance review soon so just be patient with me on this. Oh, for those who are interested, these are available at Adidas Trinoma for Php 8,495.  Here are some detailed pics for you to check out.
