While Fila may not be that relevant with regards to basketball shoes, they are trying to maintain their visibility by releasing kicks whether for training or lifestyle. An example of this is this Fila 96 Vulc. One of their famous basketball models back in the 90's, this Fila 96 silhouette has been given some lifestyle vibe with the utilization of a vulcanized sole. Suede and canvas upper was used and gum sole replaced the rubber outsole used in the original silhouette. Props to Fila for being able to pull this off neatly without sacrificing the look while giving the shoe a new breath of life by transitioning it into their lifestyle line.
