The Nike Cortez is trying to appeal the younger generation with this upper material make-over. Having a knit material to substitute the leather, this could provide a breathable and lightweight construction on the shoe itself. Break-in time would even be almost none if you ask me. Some fuse overlays on the toe and eyelets for support and structure so it is still pretty minimal and not trying to veer away as much from the OG. Personally, I still think the OG's are much better aesthetically although this might interest some people especially now that almost most of the lifestyle models are being treated with knit upper. But who knows, I might change my point of view when I see these in store. No release date for these yet so stay tuned to Analykix once we get more news.
